John & Lois will be your guides through your transitional process. Here to support, inspire and motivate you.
John Peck will probably be like no other Executive Coach or Consultant you have met before.
He has a lifetime of experience tackling leadership challenges, starting as a young army officer at the age of 20, John led his platoon into the uncharted jungles of Belize and later commanded a police division in one of the most riot-torn parts of London in the mid-1980s. Today, through his business TigerTeams.co.uk, he collaborates with senior leadership teams of prestigious clients like KPMG and Salesforce to ignite the spirit of adventure within their teams.
At 50, John transitioned from one career to start a leadership consultancy, which he grew and sold ten years later. Around his 60th year, he rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, led a team to the North Pole, and completed the Marathon des Sables – often called ‘the toughest race on earth.’ Now, in his late 70s, he is preparing to lead a team to tackle a remote 4,000-metre peak in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco this year. A dedicated family man with a passion for helping people achieve their dreams at any age, John is hugely excited to be partnering with Lois to run this unique program.

Lois Brand is a co-founder of this initiative, and she brings a rich blend of skills, experience and wisdom to the programme.
Having worked for many years at the sharp end of emergency medicine – like other senior leaders joining the programme – she knows what it is like to make decisions under pressure, with a lifetime’s experience of crisis management where sensitivity and sound judgment in the moment have been critical to a successful outcome. On top of this, like many other senior leaders, she shares the experience of juggling the pressures of bringing up a family with the demands of work.
Lois is also highly respected for her experience in working with groups, inspiring creative thinking and catalysing change. With a particular interest in career fulfilment in midlife, she is passionate about the importance of a proactive approach to life and career at this key stage.
She understands the challenges of navigating through times of change and uncertainty and works to unlock creativity and boldness to enable clients to move forward with purpose for their next chapter.

Beyond the next assignment - a word from John Peck
In our roles as senior leaders, we often find ourselves on a hamster wheel, moving from one challenging job to another. Success is rewarded with yet another tough assignment, leaving little space for personal reflection. The demands of family life further consume our time, pushing any thoughts about our personal well-being and taking stock to the back of our minds.
As we mature, the thoughts of life beyond our current work pattern may seem distant and unappealing. Sadly, at the very time when we could be building a vision beyond work and starting to invest in ourselves and our personal long-term future, we don’t have the energy and drive to do that vital pre-planning to ensure we can parachute to a soft landing in our later years.
Having coached senior executives over the years, it brings me great joy to now provide a space for clients to reflect on their lives, celebrate their achievements, and embark on a new mission to plan a fulfilling and meaningful future.
I am fortunate to work alongside Lois Brand, a fellow founder of our business, who has extensive experience working with senior leaders in the NHS. Together, we bring a wealth of skills, knowledge, and experience to help our clients open future opportunities and lead lives full of meaning and potential.

The value of taking time to reflect and plan – a word from Lois Brand
Over the last couple of years, I’ve worked with nearly two hundred senior doctors in the NHS, on ‘Career Pitstops’, encouraging them to take time to reflect and proactively plan the next chapters of their life and career. It’s fascinating and fulfilling work, with much of the efficacy resulting from the power of deliberately stepping away from ‘the coalface’ even for a short time, and the chance to share common experiences with colleagues at a similar stage.
Senior clinical and management roles in the NHS often feel all-consuming, although I’ve been struck by the number of doctors who despite the level of sacrifice involved genuinely love their work. Many have managed demanding medical careers in parallel with raising a family and caring for older relatives. A life of service to others can become so engrained that taking time to focus on our own needs can feel discordant and unfamiliar. Career reflection often happens at times of crisis, with the resulting decision-making feeling pressurised and limited.
My work encourages people to take time to step away, reflect, review and re-create and I’m delighted to be offering the opportunity to take this work to a deeper level alongside my friend and colleague John Peck.
Several decades ago, I experienced a residential leadership course run by John, and the learning from that event has remained with me throughout my career. John has continued to inspire me with his irrepressible energy and quest for adventure and I’m excited to be working with him in this innovative venture.
With our combined experience, knowledge and expertise we have created a unique programme which will energise and equip individuals to create a purposeful and exciting next chapter in their lives.
